It has been a long time since my last post, and I apologize for that.

I want to let all of you know that the amazing band Passion Pit will be performing LIVE at First Ave. in Minneapolis, Sunday, April 4th.

I have my ticket for this show already, and it will be amazing!

Passion Pit is the latest thing to hit the indy pop/ electronica seen, and if you can get a chance to hear their album, you will fall in love and want to go to this show.

18+ and tickets are at $16.00 + facilities fees.

Roster McCabe Live at Club 151 – 11/20 – For Free!

Roster McCabe, the amazing Jam/Electronica/Rock/Funk/Reggae band out of  the Minnesota area will be playing a FREE SHOW at Club 151 on November 20th, 2009.

These guys play an amazing show, that people of all ages can get out and dance to.

Halloweenona with Deep Sea Summit Live at Jefferson’s! 10-31

 

Spend your halloween with Deep Sea Summit at Jeffersons (pub) River Center in downtown Winona, this Saturdasy, October 31.

The show will start at 9:00 PM and is 18+

No cover has been listed, but it will most likely be a 5$-10$ cover.

Deep Sea Summit is an amazing Live Electronica/ Jazz/ Drum & Bass band out of Winona, MN.

The band consists of Jake Ilika on synth and guitar, Chris Peters on guitar and synth, Scott Lochner on Bass and Samples, and Charlie Smyrk on drums, samples, and programming.

With soothing electronic and guitar sounds, Deep Sea Summit plays a great show consisting of laser lights and groovy tunes.

Apartment 4 at Ed’s (no name) Bar in Winona! 10/24

Apartment 4!

The Winona band, Apartment 4 will be playing at Ed’s Bar (E 3rd st) in downtown Winona this Saturday, October 24th!

This show will be free of charge and it starts at 9:00 P.M.

These guys are the best electronic/rock/funk band to come out of Winona.

Apartment 4 is a band composed of four Winona State seniors:

Karl Brueggemann: Keyboards & Vocals, Justin Smith: Electric Bass, Christ Woznicki: Drums, Andrew McManimon: Guitar

I’ve seen these guys play over 5 times, and I keep coming back because the music is orginal and makes you get up and dance.

Come out and get down!

This will be an 21+ show.

Pretty Lights at the Varsity Theatre in Minneapolis! 10/21/09

Pretty Lights is an amazing Electronica/ Hip Hop/ Down-tempo band from Fort. Collins, Colorado.

Pretty Lights consists of Derek Vincent Smith and Cory Eberhard.

They are on tour and making their way to the Varsity Theatre in Minneapolis on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Tickets will be $15 plus facilities charge. Cheap ticket for a great band.

This will be an 18+ show.

Lotus Live at First Ave. In Minneapolis! 10/23/09

The band Lotus will be coming to Minneapolis at First Ave. on Friday, October 23.

Tickets will be $14.00 plus tax and facility charge. This is an 18+ show.

First Ave. is located at 701 First Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55403

Lotus is an instrumental jam band/ electronic jam band that plays soothing spiritual and rock beats. Their grooves are euphoric, and the whole atmosphere of the show is nothing but positive vibrations. They are a 5-piece band that started in 1999 fusing electronic dance music and modern rock/jam.

This will be my first time seeing Lotus, and I’m sure not the last. I’ve been listening to these guys for about a year now, and if their live music is half as good as their recorded then it will be an amazing show.

You better believe that the light show will be mind blowing. Based on the videos I’ve seen and the reports from friends who’ve seen them, it is not a lights show you can miss.

EOTO Live at the Cabooze in Minneapolis! 10/8/09

EOTO! – a fairly well known electronica/ jam band that plays an amazing show will be coming to the Cabooze in Minneapolis.

Not only does the lights show help make the experience even better, but Eoto has a great line-up of original songs that will get you movin’ and groovin’.

Playin live with smiles.

This show will be at 9:00 on Thursday, Oct. 8 at the Cabooze, in Minneapolis.

But wait Steve, isn’t STS9 playing that night at First Ave? Well random blogger, you are correct, but don’t think for a second that you can’t catch both shows. Lord knows I will.

Price is still TBA according to their Myspace page, but I’m sure it will be fairly cheap, most likely below 20$ or 15$.

The cabooze is located at 917 Cedar Ave, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55404.

STS 9 at First Ave. in Minneapolis! 10/8/09

The well known electronica/ jam band – STS 9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9) will be playing a show at the popular First Ave. venue in the twin cities.

STS9 is renowned for their advanced and spectacular lights show as well as their triumphant music. The lights show alone is worth seeing, because they have won many awards for the lights.

This is one of my favorite bands that I’ve always wanted to see live, because I’ve been told by many people that everyone should see STS9 live at least once in their life.

This is a great band that will play a great show, hands down. See you there hopefully.

The show is at 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 8th.

This is an 18+ show. Tickets are 20.50 (plus facility charge and tax)
