It has been a long time since my last post, and I apologize for that.

I want to let all of you know that the amazing band Passion Pit will be performing LIVE at First Ave. in Minneapolis, Sunday, April 4th.

I have my ticket for this show already, and it will be amazing!

Passion Pit is the latest thing to hit the indy pop/ electronica seen, and if you can get a chance to hear their album, you will fall in love and want to go to this show.

18+ and tickets are at $16.00 + facilities fees.

Big Head Todd and the Monsters Live at First Ave. 12/29/09

The amazing Blues/Rock band that was formed in 1986 in Colorado will be touring the US and making a stop in Minneapolis for their show on Tuesday, December 29th, 2009 at First Ave. in Minneapolis!

These guys are great and have such classics as, “Bittersweet” “It’s Alright” and “Circle.”

The show will start at 7:00 PM

21+ show

Tickets are $24 plus facilities charge.

The Pink Floyd Experience Live at Fitzgerald Theater! 2/11/10

Pink Floyd was one of the greatest Rock and Roll/ Jam bands of their generation.

Who better to represent them live than the Pink Floyd Experience.

These guys are a great cover band that really hit the essence of Pink Floyd.

The show will take place on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, MN.

The show starts at 7:30

Brother Ali at First Ave! 11/21

Tomorrow night will be a great night in Minneapolis because Brother Ali is playing live at First Ave. Saturday, November 21, 2009.

The show will be $14, plus facilities charge which is normally only a buck or two.

The show starts at 5:00 p.m. and is 18+

Brother Ali is an amazing influential rapper out of the Twin Cities.

His beats are fresh, and his lyrics are inspiring.

B.B. King and Buddy Guy Live at the Orpheum Theatre! 2/20/10

Blues/Rock legends B.B. King and Buddy Guy will be playing together live in Minneapolis at the Orpheum Theater on Saturday, February 20th, 2010!

The show will start at 8:00PM

This show will be an expensive one – $55 plus facilities charge.

B.B. King – legendary American blues guitarist is an inspiration to so many bands that currently play. His soothing guitar and voice provide a great show for anyone of any age.

Buddy Guy – 5-time Grammy Award-winning, legendary American blues guitarist and singer has been a known inspiration to such bands as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan and so many other guitarists.

What price would you pay to see living guitar legends shred together?

Andrew Bird Live at St. Marks Cathedral in Minneapolis! 12/12/09

Andrew Bird will be coming to St. Marks Cathedral in Minneapolis, MN, Saturday, December 12!

The show will be $29 plus utilities and there is also more expensive tickets for better seats.

Based out of Chicago, Andrew Bird provides some of the best Indie/Folk/Baroque pop music I have heard in my lifetime.

This man is completely individual in his music, and I have never heard anyone else that sounds like him.

He writes all of his own song, sings them, plays many instruments such as; violin, guitar, glockenspiel, and the man can whistle like a champion.

His songs put me into a unique thought process where I get lost in his music. I would recommend this artist to anyone and everyone.

WSU Jazz Ensemble and The Hornheads Live at WSU tonight! 11/13

 

The WSU Jazz Ensemble will be performing tonight, Friday, November 13, at the Performing Arts Center on WSU Main Campus.

Also, The Hornheads, a Minnesota jazz/funk/acoustic group out of the Twin Cities will be peforming as well!

These guys are groovy and play jazz music for jazz lovers.

The Hornheads consist of Michael Nelson, Steve Strand, Dave Jensen, Kenni Holmen, and Kathy Jensen all playing different horned instruments.

Some of these guys have played with so many different famous bands and musicians.

Come down to the PAC to see some great live jazz!

The show will be starting at 7:30 PM and ending at 9:00 PM.

This show will be $4 for students and seniors and 8$ for adults.

All ages show, so bring the kids!

Halloweenona with Deep Sea Summit Live at Jefferson’s! 10-31

 

Spend your halloween with Deep Sea Summit at Jeffersons (pub) River Center in downtown Winona, this Saturdasy, October 31.

The show will start at 9:00 PM and is 18+

No cover has been listed, but it will most likely be a 5$-10$ cover.

Deep Sea Summit is an amazing Live Electronica/ Jazz/ Drum & Bass band out of Winona, MN.

The band consists of Jake Ilika on synth and guitar, Chris Peters on guitar and synth, Scott Lochner on Bass and Samples, and Charlie Smyrk on drums, samples, and programming.

With soothing electronic and guitar sounds, Deep Sea Summit plays a great show consisting of laser lights and groovy tunes.

Pretty Lights at the Varsity Theatre in Minneapolis! 10/21/09

Pretty Lights is an amazing Electronica/ Hip Hop/ Down-tempo band from Fort. Collins, Colorado.

Pretty Lights consists of Derek Vincent Smith and Cory Eberhard.

They are on tour and making their way to the Varsity Theatre in Minneapolis on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Tickets will be $15 plus facilities charge. Cheap ticket for a great band.

This will be an 18+ show.
